Ultrasonic machines use the powerful process of cavitation along with detergents to clean and sanitize items deep down inside the smallest crevices. Cavitation occurs when ultrasonic sound waves are introduced into a solution. Cavitation bubbles form rapidly and expand until they implode on themselves creating a jet-stream and heat. Cavitation bubbles range in size from 25-150 microns. A human hair averages approximately 150 microns. The microscopic bubbles allow dirt, bacteria and pathogens to be eradicated from items deep down in the smallest crevices.
